Description
Multiple poodles are always trouble, but multiple zombie poodles are far worse. Down boy! This traditional blue-willow-inspired design can be found on the 11th porcelain plate in the Calamityware collection.

Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as his 22nd Kickstarter project in 2016.
Dimensions & More Info
  • 10.5” diameter (26.5 cm)
  • Rich blue images on white porcelain.
  • Produced using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums.
  • Remember, all Calamityware plate designs are different—different borders, different images, and sometimes slightly different blues because the plates were fired at different times. They will look good together on your table or wall, but they won't be identical.
  • Made at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland.
Care
  • Food safe.
  • Microwave safe.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Porcelain is both delicate and durable. We think you’ll enjoy Don’s blog about caring for your new treasures.

These porcelain pieces were fired at the Kristoff workshop in Valbrich, Poland, one of the oldest and grandest porcelain workshops in the world. Kristoff began making porcelain in 1831 and its work can be found in museums and in the palaces of royalty. Our porcelain designs are in-glaze, which means slightly melted into the surface of the piece, to ensure a beautiful crisp image for years to come. Photo by Porcelana Krzysztof Sp. z o.o.

Why would you want any other brand of plate.

My crockery used to be Spode and Wedgewood and Villeroy and Boch. Lots of florals and family friendly patterns. Those plates have all gone to other homes now so I can have flies and robots and zombie poodles. ZOMBIE POODLES. Does the world get more wonderful than that.

Dressed up for Thanksgiving

Calamityware isn't just for looks. Setting the table for Thanksgiving with Calamityware creates a homespun yet elegant vibe where paired with Waterford Crystal, Steiff Sterling Flatware, and Wedgwood China. Guaranteed to make your guests ooh and ah with a glance closer before they pile on the turkey and sides. The Zombie poodles are just for me.

A rose by any other name

But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Zombie Poodles have over-run. Black cat could care-less... And what do Zombie Poodles eat? Whatever calamity you put on the plate.

A stealthy wit

Yes, these products are sufficiently silly and superb! The porcelain is durable and stands up to everyday use; the patterns have a stealthy wit that sneaks up on guests accustomed to conventional willoware. Plates mix nicely with plain white porcelain, and with more delicate bone china willoware patterns, as well as with Japanese blue porcelains. My order arrived quickly and the packaging is beautifully engineered to prevent damage. Highly recommend for gift giving and to enliven your own table.

Of course, we love it.

Fell in love with the cups, and my SO really wanted the poodle plate, so I got it for him as a surprise. He was very happy to get it. High quality product, and very charming.

What is scarier than zombie poodles? Poodles are smart dogs! Probably my favorite design and that’s saying something because I love them all! Highly recommend!
