Calamityware Shallow Bowls - Now What?

$ 56.00
Title:
1 set (4 bowls)

Set of four shallow bowls to go with your Calamityware dinnerware. Each bowl has a unique design from Don Moyer's sketchbook featuring different calamities: Jelly Brains, Lagoonie, Fur Balls, and Devil Blob. These shallow bowls are perfect for soup, stews, salads, ice cream, and your world-famous chili. The well is about 0.75" deep (2 cm) and holds 8 oz (230 mL) of liquid.

Rich blue image on 8.75” (22 cm) diameter white porcelain bowls. Food safe. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Produced at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums. Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as a Kickstarter project in 2019.

Remember, each plate design is different—four different borders and images. The blues in this set of bowls will match each other. And, although they will look good with your other Calamityware dinner plates, the blues may be slightly different because they were fired at different times.

Porcelain is both delicate and durable. We think you’ll enjoy Don’s blog about caring for your new treasures.

Highlights of all that mumbo jumbo above:
• Set of four different shallow bowls
• 8.75" (22 cm) diameter
• 0.75" deep (2 cm)
• Holds 8 oz. (230 mL) liquid
• Porcelain
• Food safe
• Microwave safe
• Dishwasher safe

An addiction

Now have all the plates, pasta bowls, small plates, shallow bowls, side bowls, mugs (with big mugs to come) tiny plates and serving platers. An addiction I can’t control - this is used every day as my main flat ware. Why should art and humour be saved for walls or best. I love my flying monkeys

Fun and beautiful bowls

My husband's initial reaction was that I had bought very traditional bowls. I told him to look harder. These are our favorite for pasta, rice dishes, desserts and other dishes where a shallow bowl works better than a plate.

These little monsters have made the eating lunch at home day after day after every single day time way more fun! Plus the smaller size helps keep our portions more sane. Love them so much!

Wonderful! Beautiful! Creative!

My grandson and I love to dine. I’ve been collecting Calamityware through out 2019. He has a service of four now. I will continue to collect the dishes. Everyone loves them! They are beautiful! I need to pick up series 1&2 of the dinner plates, more mugs. I was delighted with the small bowls and plates offered in the kickoff. I love each dish being unique.

Calamity Dinnerware

I bought these as a gift for my grown daughter, who went on and on and on about how cool they were. We'll keep adding to her collection on special occasions.

Just what I was looking for

I love adding a touch of whimsy in every room of my house. These dishes fulfilled that wish. I like that they look traditional until you get closer and find that there’s more than you expected.

Eminently useful with a whimsical design!

I got these as a gift for my wife and am getting as much pleasure from using them as she is. They really are wonderful bowls for soup, stew, Chana Masala, basically anything you might want to enjoy out of a shallow bowl. We love the playful patterns and these really are functional, well made bowls. I have a feeling Calamityware will soon be invading and taking over the rest of our cabinet space.
