The fabric which works for the placemats isn't very nice in a napkin. I'm thinking I might have to wash these a zillion times to soften them...things could always be worse, I guess.

I ordered these to try before gifting them to my kids. LOVE the placemats. The matching napkins are rough and not so great for wiping a mouth...I'm hoping that they might source some better cotton fabrics soon. The mats wash well and look great with no ironing.

Fun prints, great quality. Not my first order from them, but always consistent in product & shipping. Plan to order more to gradually complete my collection.

But who am I kidding? No one buys CalamityWare just because it's excellent quality. It's the monsters, the zombie poodles, the UFOs and single cat. The textiles are absolutely stunning, thick and beautifully printed. The placemats are big. These are almost too beautiful to use. But I will!

My wife sent me a link and asked that I place an order. I assumed she wanted a set of 8 plates, and after I placed the order, she sees the email alert from our credit card company, and then calls me to tell me , "No, I only want one!" I scrambled back to the web site and sent an email explaining the problem. However, the fulfillment partner had already followed through with the order. No worries! Nina, who appears to control the Giant Robot, replied that she would happily accept the unneeded plates, and will even send me a prepaid shipping label for the return.

I will definitely keep calamityware.com on my go-to list for gifts and cool things! Who knows? My wife may want to keep the full set of eight plates, but if not, it's good to know Nina and her Giant Robot are taking care of me!

I bought the napkins for a family dinner thinking they’d be a fun change. I was right! My son first thought they were Delft (we’re Dutch) and I said “look again”. Everyone was laughing and looking for new creatures to point out. Thank you for the smiles. I just wish they had a polyester/cotton mix so they didn’t wrinkle so much after washing.

Things could always be worse. Bigfoot could run off with the bagels. A pterodactyl could swipe the ptoast. Armed with my fabulous kitchen textiles, though, I am secure and protected!
