Description

Bats get mixed reviews. In China, they signal enormous good luck. In the West, bats are linked with darkness, malevolence, witchcraft, vampires, evil, and death. This pattern is from Don Moyer’s sketchbook, where there is ample evidence the artist has bats in his belfry.

Batty silks are available on a square scarf, long scarf, necktie, and pocket square.

Made from silk habotai, scarves add flair to your outfit. Silk habotai is the fine silk weave originally developed for kimonos. Very light with a smooth surface. It’s the best of the best.

Necktie and pocket square are made from silk twill.

Use & Care

Use:
Scarves add flair to your outfit. Necktie adds a subtle charm to your wardrobe. Pocket square adds a dash of color to your blazer pocket. Some people have said they plan to frame the pocket square to spice up an art collection.

Care:
For best results, dry clean only.
With a little care, your silk can last a very long time. Here are some things to avoid:

  • Don’t spray your silk with perfume, deodorant, or hair treatments.
  • Never bleach silk.
  • Don’t store your silk where it is exposed to sunlight for long periods of time.
  • Minimize exposure to water and don’t wring silks dry.
  • Never torture your silks in the dryer.

Batty scarf (long)

Love this comfortable silk scarf. So fun and actually beautiful with its colors and detailed bats, shadows and clouds. The surprise is its border—gives it a finished and classy look.

Going batty for this scarf!

Love it! Love it! Love it! Bats are my favorite animal and I am now looking at new wardrobe options just so I can wear this more often! It's not heavy enough to protect you from a vampire's bite but it is certainly awesome enough to get their attention and nod of approval. It will dress up any outfit!

Soft and warm

I bought this for my daughter as a birthday gift (her birthday is in July) but gave it to her last month. It is soft and warm, and long enough to wrap the neck comfortably. She loves it!
