Description
The great divide. Three opposing factions with conflicting values. Each convinced it is right. Each rigid, unyielding.

Of course, we're talking about discriminating individuals who have a passionate preference for either pie or cake, or veggies.

These pie and cake prints celebrate these two proud communities taking their passion to the streets. And as a bonus, you will also receive a third, smaller print depicting the less numerous group that has a passion for veggies.

Where it's made

Letterpress printing creates a relief print by pressing an inked design into paper. For centuries, it was the main printing method, but now it’s practiced mainly by artisans who appreciate a letterpress print’s unique tactile beauty. Bryce Knudson at Bjørn Press in Provo, Utah does masterful work on our letterpress prints, ensuring our designs are vibrant and sharp.

Our products are high quality, meticulously manufactured items that make wonderful gifts for you and other weird-adjacent people in your life. Our goal is to make you smile.

Real world applicable

I had these framed and put them on the wall by the kitchen table. A few months later, I was sharing some leftover birthday cake (a butterscotch bourbon layer cake my wife made, easily in the top ten of best things I’ve ever eaten). My buddy was also extolling the goodness of the cake, and said how generally he does not care for cake and is more about pie. I said something about his preference for pie advocacy and gestured at the prints on the wall behind him that he had not yet noticed. He turned around and it took a second for it to register, and it was pretty funny when it did. Like, that art was made to underscore a discussion about the virtues of pie vs cake, and nobody expects that to just be hanging on the wall behind them. That moment alone was worth having the prints on the wall, but I enjoy seeing them every other time I go by them. Even the lonely broccoli monster.

Inspiring

My favorite Daughter is in grad school pursuing her passion for nutrition. We have had the Pie Vs Cake debate. She will receive these prints for Christmas. I think they will inspire her and remind her why she works so hard to achieve her goals. And they will be treasured for a long time.
