Set of 4 small dessert/salad plates to go with your Calamityware dinnerware. There are four different small plate designs and each includes one or more meandering ants. What a calamity! But there’s a bright side, too. With bugs on your plates, you’ll never dine alone. The small plates will accommodate sandwiches, light meals, salads, snacks, and all manner of desserts.
Rich blue image on 8.25” (21 cm) diameter white porcelain plates. Food safe. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Produced at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums. Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as a Kickstarter project in 2016.
Remember, each plate design is different—four different borders and images. The blues in this set of small plates will match each other. And, although they will look good with your other Calamityware dinner plates, the blues may be slightly different from the plates because they were fired at different times.
Porcelain is both delicate and durable. We think you’ll enjoy Don’s blog about caring for your new treasures.
These plates are the perfect size and the quality is great! I have so much fun with people when they discover the ants as they finish their food! I’m ready to buy the next fun design!
Use them every day and the ants still startle me.
Love em'! They each have a different border and number of ants😄
Just like the bowl with the fly, these made me smile. I love my Calamity ware dishes. Recommend.
Quality plates & exemplary packaging for mailing. Perfect to mix in w/ my Blue Willow @ dessert time. Such fun to watch surprised faces of friends & family!
I love these plates, because I don't like ants!
I took a photo of one after I'd used it, so it looked like I'd found an ant under the food ;-)
When will you be having ones with spiders?
These were a birthday gift for my beloved niece. I am her aunt. We've shared many ant-like things over the years and this was by far the best I had ever given. They're classy and beautiful!
When my son received his PhD in Entomology, major emphasis was...ants. He loves these plates.
