Ants Small Plates (Set of 4)

Shipping and taxes calculated at checkout. Free U.S. shipping on orders over $200.

Description
Each plate includes one or more meandering ants. What a calamity! But there’s a bright side, too. With bugs on your plates, you’ll never dine alone. The small plates will accommodate sandwiches, light meals, salads, snacks, and all manner of desserts.

Sold only in sets of four. Each set contains four different small porcelain plates to go with your Calamityware dinnerware.
Dimensions & More Info
  • 8.25” diameter (21 cm)
  • Rich blue images on white porcelain.
  • Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as his 16th Kickstarter project in 2016.
  • Produced using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums.
  • Remember, each plate design is different—four different borders and images. The blues in this set of small plates will match each other. And, although they will look good with your other Calamityware dinner plates, the blues may be slightly different from your other Calamityware pieces because they were fired at different times.
  • Made at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland.

These porcelain pieces were fired at the Kristoff workshop in Valbrich, Poland, one of the oldest and grandest porcelain workshops in the world. Kristoff began making porcelain in 1831, and its work can be found in museums and in the palaces of royalty. Our porcelain designs are in-glaze, which means slightly melted into the surface of the piece, to ensure a beautiful crisp image for years to come. Photo by Porcelana Krzysztof Sp. z o.o.

I don't like ants!

I love these plates, because I don't like ants!
I took a photo of one after I'd used it, so it looked like I'd found an ant under the food ;-)

When will you be having ones with spiders?

The ants look so real in person!

I loved these plates from the first time I saw them on the website and just KNEW I had to send them to my daughter-in-law. We have the same sense of humor. She lives 400 miles away from me, so I was only able to be on the phone with her while she opened the box. I could hardly contain my excitement. When she finally saw a plate, she slowly whispered, "They've got ants on them." She couldn't wait to serve her family dinner on them. She posted pictures of the plates on facebook an said, "My mother-in-law gets me." She sent me a video of the kids discovering ants on their plates. It was hilarious! When I finally visited her and saw the plates in person, I was amazed at how real the ants look. What a great gift!

Everybody Ought to Have an Ant!

Nana is sending matzo plates with ants for her grandchildren's seder service. She also has made place mats and napkins with flies. If she could only persuade Don, the Wizard, to create mugs with LOCUSTS all over them!
