Rogues Gallery Jigsaw Puzzle

This 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle is a collection of framed portraits...peculiar characters covering a swath of curious wallpaper.

Puzzles are great because you can do them alone or with others. You get to set the pace. You can do the whole puzzle in one marathon session or drag the effort out over weeks. Solving a puzzle sharpens your cognitive skills and helps you learn to focus on details. Snapping a puzzle piece into position feels good and probably releases a flood of endorphins. How nice. And jigsaw puzzles don’t require any batteries, instruction manuals, or wifi.

We believe the best jigsaw puzzles have three vital qualities. First, lots of color. Next, oodles of details. No boring expanses of sky or snow. Last, a good puzzle is puzzling—a little mysterious and full of false clues, duplicates, and distractions. The Rogues Gallery puzzle is designed to give you abundant colors, beguiling details, and mild mystery.

Printed on specially made, heavy puzzle board.

We included an overview of the whole image on a cheat sheet and box base, so you and a friend can both have a reference while working on the puzzle. If you believe the puzzle is too easy, try solving it without referring to the cheat sheet. If it is still too easy, do it blindfolded.

Loads of fun!

I've done a number of 1000-piece puzzles during the pandemic, but this one was by far the most fun. The art is, of course, delightful (and I keep finding hidden surprises), and the variety of frames and color/shading make this very approachable (without being too easy). I normally get bored after sitting at a puzzle for more than a half hour or so, but I was at this for several hours last night until midnight (past my weekday bedtime). Would HIGHLY recommend, and I look forward to getting more oCalamityware's puzzles!

My mother's response:

📝the puzzles are well constructed and good quality.  Surprisingly fun and a good challenge for the "gifted" puzzler. I enjoyed the fun, certainly not boring. Thank you for trying something different and mind boggling

So glad I found this!

Excellent puzzle! Great detail so there’s always a little clue on each piece. Crisp edges that lock together, so you can move segments easily. Not too easy, not too hard. I kept delaying finishing because I didn’t want it to end.

Well printed, crisply detailed, and sturdy cardboard puzzle

The high quality of the printing, the crispness of the design, and the sturdiness of the cardboard pieces all make this puzzle a pleasure for family and individual puzzle play.

Portraits aplenty!

Keep up the good work Don! I absolutely love this puzzle. Fun to put together and no stress involved. 😊 also, the fun and zany creatures featured are what draws me in, every time. Thanks for bringing puzzles back into my life!

A Jolly Motley Crew

Highly recommended! This puzzle was fun to build from beginning to end, and considerably easier that the Apes and Aliens and the one with the sea monsters. I enjoyed those also, but this one allowed for more organic building by piece shape and color since there were almost all unique colors, patterns, and creatures instead of so many closely resembling ones. Less of a find the object exercise and more of a traditional jigsaw approach. Definitely no compromise on the zany and original critters and infinitely creative images that Don Moyer always delights me with. They abound and kept me laughing and intrigued. I'll make this one again!

Loved it

Everything I hoped for. Well made, interesting, a real pleasure to put together. I expect to enjoy it again and again in the future. This was my first jigsaw from Calamityware, but now that I know they’re quality products, I will buy more.
