Apes and a few aliens waiting in line to get through airport security. If that's not a great idea for a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle, we don't know what is.
Puzzles are great because you can do them alone or with others. You get to set the pace. You can do the whole puzzle in one marathon session or drag the effort out over weeks. Solving a puzzle sharpens your cognitive skills and helps you learn to focus on details. Snapping a puzzle piece into position feels good and probably releases a flood of endorphins. How nice. And jigsaw puzzles don’t require any batteries, instruction manuals, or wifi.
We believe the best jigsaw puzzles have three vital qualities. First, lots of color. Next, oodles of details. No boring expanses of sky or snow. Last, a good puzzle is puzzling—a little mysterious and full of false clues, duplicates, and distractions. The Apes and Aliens puzzle is designed to give you abundant colors, beguiling details, and mild mystery.
Printed on specially made, heavy puzzle board.

I wasn't sure if the puzzle could be done. But taking one facet at a time it became a challege that was a lot of fun to piece together. It was a great escape to the world of Calamity!
We had a great time putting this one together!Took two adults - one not good at puzzles- maybe an hour or so each day for about a week. The picture was unique and fun. It was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. The ape faces repeat, which makes it a little trickier, but it has clear edges which balanced that out.
My cousin Loved receiving these as his birthday gifts ( adult male who enjoys puzzles & board games).
Love the graphics! The quality is very good. My husband thought it was a bit too challenging, but it suits me just fine.🙂
High quality pieces. This puzzle was all fun, and no “slogging through to get it done”. Immersed in whimsy with plenty of color and bumps along the way. One of the most enjoyable puzzles I’ve done. Medium difficulty.
Anything from this hilarious and talented artist is fine with me, and this puzzle is right up there with my favorites. We haven't finished it yet but it is exactly the right degree of difficulty for me - I like to do it without looking at the picture so it takes longer but that just stretches out the fun. If you like a puzzle to be easier, well then, look at the picture. We recently finishes another of his puzzles and that was wonderful too - the Lackluster Circus. I love Don's sense of humor. Pieces are a good size, and physically this puzzle is made of good cardboard and nicely printed, and the pieces fit together well, and are all different (standard) puzzle piece shapes. Quality.
We do many jigsaw puzzles from companies who claim to be the best puzzle makers in the world. This puzzle exceeds the quality of any of the others we have done. This is not an easy puzzle, but it is fair. The pieces are all unique. There are many apes, but the colors are all different as are the expressions of the apes. You don't have to spend hours turning blue sky pieces around. In some other puzzles, pieces appear to fit more than one place. Not so with this one. The fit is so good that you can easily pick up sections of the completed puzzle.
One more wonderful thing about this puzzle is that it does not have a glare. That is especially nice at night.
This is possibly a bit macabre, but my husband died unexpectedly a few days ago and my brother and my children and I turned to solving this puzzle as part of our grieving process. We have laughed hysterically, cursed you, and wept in frustration for three days and just completed it about ten minutes ago. Drank a lot of assorted beverages from Calamity Ware mugs while doing it. Can't think of a more fitting occasion for your products. Thanks for helping us muddle through earthquakes, pandemic, and death with a bit of humor.
My husband and I are about halfway through this puzzle and having much fun doing it. It's a toughie, but the graphics are bright and clear and the quality of the board is very good, so it's very enjoyable. It will take us several evenings to complete this one, so we feel we will have gotten our money's worth. And the longer we work on it, the more tickled we are at the funny little creatures and the things going on in the picture. We look forward to our time together working this jigsaw. Very glad I ordered it.
Unbeknownst to my husband, I bought several Calamityware puzzles as future gifts for puzzle-loving extended family members. As soon as the box was delivered, *my husband* laid out all of the puzzles to see which one *he* would work on. Apes and Aliens, if you're wondering. My sister-in-law is getting Ocean Commotion, Bwah, ha ha.
