Kitchen Witch Talisman

I'm at a time of life when I shouldn't be adding more stuff, but this witch was irresistible, and I regret nothing at all about the purchase. The witch and cat illustrations are some of Calamityware's best, the metal items (cat, witch, and hanging hook) are good quality and so's the box, and I can think of ways the various components can be used temporarily or permanently, together or separately (jewelry, for instance). Even the full-color paper protector sheet (not shown at the Calamityware site) is going to be framed for Halloween display, a tiny treasure which I hope to see eventually as another item--hint hint hint! Witches: not just for kitchens anymore.

Sturdy and attractive talisman. The debossing is well done and the little cat charm a delightful bonus. I am confident that my pie crusts will greatly improve with the addition of this witch to my kitchen.

In the spirit of housewarming I sent my Kitchen Witch off as a gift. WHY DID I DO THAT? Immediately after her departure the toaster started burning toast and I did not hear the timer go off for a pot of rice. A bug got inside and bit me. Need I say more?

I love this talisman! Beautifully fashioned--it's even more striking in person than the picture on the site! The item can quickly and securely sealed. Even the inside packaging is cool! As another reviewer wrote about the paper protector sheet, yes, that should be the inspiration for other products. We love our kitchen witch! Since placing her, all of our recipes have gone smoothly and come out perfect— we always seem to have just enough of ingredients too. I recommend asking her for help (her decision whether or not to help of course) with specific tasks as they arise. Beautifully made object and a delight to have in our kitchen. Treat her well and she will treat you well.
