Using the classic technology of an extra-wide jacquard loom, our friends at Piscatextil in Portugal painstakingly weave our patterns into cotton throws, bedspreads, towels, and rugs. Everyone loves the substantial weight of these textiles and the delightful texture that results from the interaction of the dark and light threads.

My daughter and I sit and try to identify all the images.
I WOULD TOTALLY BUY THIS IN BLUE AND WHITE. Several times.
Arrived today! Absolutely love the design, so much going on. Very well made and the colors are nice. Please put the kitten eating robot from the future on a tee shirt or hoodie
Please make this blanket in more COLORS! It it soft, drapery, and has MONSTERS…what more could anyone want?
I returned from a trip to open an unexpected box - filled with *this*. I wasn’t able to join the kickstarter for this myself and was heartbroken, only for my sister to surprise me as a birthday present. I have the previous blanket, both throw and queen sized, and this is just as well made. The design is woven in, not printed, the texture is durable but still pleasant, it washes well and if you treat it with care, is not prone to staining. Once again, absolutely worth the money for the craftsmanship alone, and the fact the design is brilliant is just aces.
We ordered this piece to 'throw' over the backrest of our camelback sofa. It is a delight. Adequately cushy in a quilted sort of way, the fabric is soft to the touch. Sunshine over the summer may promote fading, which would be unsurprising since we live in the Southwest. Nonetheless, I wouldn't do it otherwise although I love it enough that I'll consider putting a sheet over the top when the sun is exceptionally fierce. I want to keep this wonderful piece and pass it on as an "hair loom."
Thanks, Calamityware!
My kids love this! I have a 4 year old and a 5 year old, and they love pointing out all the things on the throw. the design is hilarious, and the craftmanship is top quality! totally worth it!
Everyone on our holiday list received the throw blanket this year as their St. Nick gift. After buying and loving the queen bed set for ourselves in blue, I decided to throw caution to the wind and get the throws for gifting. They are all smitten, the fabric is delightful and the design is enthralling. Win-Win-Win.
I love these jacquard-weave textiles with Don Moyer's designs! We have two beautiful new throws with the terracotta and cream "Time Travel Bloopers" design. At first glance the "Time Travel Bloopers" throws look like heirloom pieces from Grandma's trunk. But, like the Calamityware "Things Could Be Worse" porcelain, there are tiny surprises (rockets, triceratops, Vikings...) throughout the traditional-style motifs. The quality of these woven throws is outstanding. We can't decide if we like one side or the reverse! Washable and durable. Just the right weight.
We also have a "Creature Comforts" bedspread and a throw with blue bats and monsters. We travel by car with our dog Sweetie Pie and stay in pet-friendly inns and hotels. We always put throws down on the beds in hotels so Sweetie Pie feels at home and doesn't disturb the hotel linen. Her favorite is the "Creature Comforts" throw.
I have been looking for a well-made throw for my living room and couldn't be happier. Loom-crafted rather than the usual cheesy stamped design, with a nice heft to it and a lovely witty design, I am very happy to have made the decision to buy this and intend to buy these as gifts for next Christmas because they couldn't be more perfect.
I have the king size bedspread. The bats, navy. It's my favourite thing ever. The hand of the fabric is fabulous - thick, soft, drapey, just ridiculous. Now, I'm reviewing here because I really need them to see this. I need a throw! But the colour isn't me. PLEASE make this throw in a different colourway. A soft periwinkle wouldn't be out of your design aesthetic and your girl here will buy it the very second you post it on your site! I AM NOT KIDDING. Take more of my money. Please.
