Ms. Shoptopus's Tentacular Style

Meet Ms. Shoptopus.

You may recognize her as the muse of our Shoptopus Bag, but she is so much more than that. Her eight tentacles make her the perfect packaging specialist for Calamityware. She conducts package testing in Pittsburgh for us, and sends her finding to our warehouse team for package improvements this consists mostly of her just throwing eight packages at a time at a concrete wall. It's really quite fun to watch.

Her Home Decor Style:

Her home style is cozy, cave-like, and very wet. She loves collecting shiny trinkets to adorn the inside walls, and has a very large closet for her hat collection.

Her Color Palette:

Ms. Shoptopus sticks to earthy stone-tones like greys and blacks, but loves to add a pop of corral, purple, or bright pink to mimic the reefs of her home.    If her aesthetic reminds you of yourself, or someone you know, read on to see what we would recommend to match this style.

Beautiful Baggage

Shoptopus Grocery Bag

Ms. Shoptopus proudly posed for Don as inspiration for the Shoptopus Grocery Bag. This is exactly how she looks heading back to her den after a hard day's work (shopping). She loves the idea of shoppers toting re-usable grocery bags to cut back on the plastic ones that often make their way to her ocean home.

Sea "Monsters"

Sea Monster Shower Curtain

Ms. Shoptopus would disagree with calling these curtain creatures "Monsters". Those are just her friendly neighbors Kraken, Leviathan, and Bob. Sure they might accidentally sink a ship every now and again, but they are just hardworking sea creatures trying to stay out of sailor's way.

Ocean Commotion Puzzle

Having eight arms covered in sticky suction cups makes completing a 1000-piece puzzle a snap for her. She loves inviting her neighbors over to work on the puzzle so they can laugh at how inaccurately they are portrayed. Leviathan actually has three heads and Kraken only has seven arms and a mustache.

Holiday Hosting

Tentacular Dinnerware

Although octopi are traditionally seen as independent creatures who do not require the company of others, Ms. Shoptopus enjoys hosting and gabbing with her friends and family. She has ironically taken to calling her parties "Ocean Commotions".  Her favorite Calamityware dinner plates are Sea Monster and Tentacles. She just loves how the Calamityware Blue makes her feel back at home in the sea. But she would like to have a talk with Don about the term "Monster." That's just Jerry, her postman.

We hope you found this style guide useful in curating your perfect space.

Sincerely,
Ms. Shoptopus and The Calamityware Team
