Totally Witchin' Style

Meet The Kitchen Witch.

Traditionally, a Kitchen Witch is a creepy doll or talisman that is placed in your kitchen to thwart inconvenient spirits that caused pots to boil over, meatloaves to burn, and wine bottles to mysteriously empty. And while our Kitchen Witch does watch over the home, she is far from creepy. She is a hardworking and modern woman, with slightly unconventional flying transportation and a green hue to her skin. She works for Calamityware testing our products in the kitchen, and protecting us from unlucky cracks and breaks.

Her Home Decor Style:

Her home style is gothic, cozy, and a bit spooky on account of all the bones laying around. Think of the Addams Family mansion, with a hint of British Bakeoff tent.

Her Color Palette:

She decorates with mostly black and white, but adds bright pops of red and deep purple, mostly in the form of live accents such as apples, figs, and fresh flowers.

If her aesthetic reminds you of yourself, or someone you know, read on to see what we would recommend to match this style.

Drafty Windows

Kitchen Witch Scarf

Everyone knows that witches live in run-down shacks with drafty windows that whistle at night. This could not be farther from the truth. The Kitchen Witch has very efficient and well-insulated stained glass windows at her house.

But she does have a creepy, drafty shed out back that she cooks up magic in occasionally. And on cold nights when she had to venture out back, she always wraps up in her wool Kitchen Witch Scarf.

Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Kitchen Witch Canisters

The Kitchen Witch has lots of conventional and unconventional ingredients that should be stored in air-tight containers. One of her favorite ways to store them is in the Kitchen Witch Canisters, which can be relabeled with a marker to reflect whatever she has inside. She usually turns the label to face the wall when guests come over so they aren't concerned about the "Hearts of Past Lovers" being stored next to the "Wheat Flour".

Kitchen Witch Talisman

Because she is an actual Kitchen Witch, she finds it a little redundant and vain to have a talisman of herself hanging in her kitchen. That being said, she gifts all her friends and family the Kitchen Witch Talisman so that she can vainly hang in their kitchens and protect them from evil kitchen mishaps. She is a big fan of the cute little gift box that the talisman comes in, and that the talisman is double-sided so she looks marvelous from all angles.

Live Deliciously

Kitchen Witch Textiles

The Kitchen Witch loves a dinner party, especially when she can incorporate exotic ingredients like Nightshade, Eye of Newt, or Toe of Child. When serving delicacies, she opts for an equally fabulous linen set to enhance the meal.

The subtle pattern of bats, bugs, and botanicals is perfect for witches who might still be in the broom closet, and more showy witches alike.
