Description
Good hosts have serving platters. Great hosts have serving platters decorated with dinosaurs. And this porcelain platter has lots of dinosaurs. You can use it as your dinner plate if you are really hungry or put it to use as a serving dish.
Dimensions & More Info
  • 14.75" x 10.25" (37.5 cm x 26 cm)
  • Rich blue images on white porcelain.
  • Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as his 32nd Kickstarter project in 2018.

Where it's made

These porcelain pieces were fired at the Kristoff workshop in Valbrich, Poland, one of the oldest and grandest porcelain workshops in the world. Kristoff began making porcelain in 1831, and its work can be found in museums and in the palaces of royalty. Our porcelain designs are in-glaze, which means slightly melted into the surface of the piece, to ensure a beautiful crisp image for years to come. Photo by Porcelana Krzysztof Sp. z o.o.

Bring out your inner cave man

Amazing platter. It makes you want to grab a sharpened stick, but on your bearskin outfit, and run outside in search of Cretaceous-era lizards to kill and consume. But I'm in Alaska. And it's February. Unless you want the Alaska State Troopers to both breathalyze and urine toxicology test, I'd strongly suggest you resist the urge

Ha! Made you look!

I have a number of antique blue "willow ware" plates and platters displayed on the walls in my dining room, but after a while guests just walked past the "old dishes" as if they were bland wallpaper. I added two Calamityware items into the mix, and now guests are noticing the difference! "Hey! Are those DINOSAURS on that platter?" has become a common conversation starter, and everyone has a smile before dinner. Thanks!

Old and new.

I love this platter. I bought it for my wife and she loves it too. The dinosaurs make us smile. More dinosaur stuff, please! I bought it for the whimsey, thinking it was a bit expensive for kitsch, but I bought a set of serving bowls, afterwards, because of the obvious quality of construction of the platter. The other great thing is that my dad just thinks it is a traditional-porcelain dish. No need to let him know otherwise.

They laughed, they loved it

I gave away several and they are prized. Would be great to have a "what's the worst that could happen" version!

Fun platter

I'd give it 5-stars if the blue was a little darker so it matched our actual blue willow dishes.

cool and robust

great looking dish that can take a beating in the dishwasher. It’s in heavy rotation at our house. It came securely packed in about 7 days. I will definitely be purchasing other stuff.

Love it!

After I got the Calamityware tea set for Christmas, I have been haunting the shop, trying to decide what my next piece would be. I went with this platter, which is a nice size, arrived promptly, and has the same beautiful unique art. I love it. Now, all I need is that service for twelve...
