Ordered the smallest size, and it's perfect - I'm adding it as a little "extra" in a wedding gift for someone dear, with the following note:
"I hope this is the largest calamity the two of you will ever have to face! May your worries always be small enough to fit within it, may your love & compassion for each other always overflow it, and may the sight of it always bring laughter into your life."
I bought a set (okay, two sets) of these Beast Bowls, thinking I'd give one to my wonderful daughter-in-law and use one for my three Beasts. Then they arrived (very promptly, as always). I'm still giving a set to my wonderful daughter-in-law because that's fair, and she is the world's greatest daughter-in-law. But I fell so in love with the Beast Bowls I couldn't put them on the floor for the Beasts to rampage through. Our Beasts, even the smallest, are rough on their bowls. So I didn't tell the Beasts about the bowls and kept them for myself. I plan to use them for the serving of dips and snacks for the Human Beasts. They are perfect, by the way. Lovely, heavy, nice sizes. And if your Beasts are less beastly to their bowls, they'd do well for their stated purpose as well.
I was able to obtain two sets of the Beast Bowls during the Kickstarter campaign. I adore these bowls. Sadly, no four-legged, furry friends with which to share the bowls. Definitely usable for two-legged beasts! I use mine every day. Four sit on my counter for butter, and as fruit and vegetable holders. The other two get used for popcorn, other snacks and meal prep. I like how heavy the bowls are. The designs are delightful...a good reminder that things could always be worse. I would like to own another set; saving up my pennies to do so. Do yourself, and the beasts with whom you live, a favor and get a set (or two!) of these bowls.
I purchased a set of the bowls little did I know the cat would take the small as well as the medium. She said it was for her food, who knew cats eat as well as drink. I had to purchase another small bowl for my snack items. Perfect for mini M&Ms.
I ordered the set: The largest was for my sweet beast's water on the hot, sunny days on the porch. How happy it made me to watch him enjoy it there! And how cool it kept it! The smallest was for the smallest, accidental beast, who still hates us, and hisses and swipes at us -- when he's not gladly taking food from us -- his incredibly small "Maine coon" fluffiness is adorable lapping water out of the fine, elegant, scenes of disaster. The middle? Ah, the middle I save for me! I only have so much beneficence in me!
... Which makes me think I may need another set...!
Sent the medium Beast Bowl to my niece as part of her birthday gift. Didn't know if she would use it foe snacks for her or for her cat. Her thank you note thanks us for "spoiling her beloved Ophelia" - so I guess that cat won out! Calamityware is always a hit with our family!
i bought the large beast bowl. would have been great for my huge scottish deerhound. alas i can no longer have a beast but it is great for the beast in me. well wrapped.
Had my wonderful cookie jar, but needed a matching candy dish next to it - one beast bowl to the rescue!
I bought one as a Kickstarter, for our cat, Kiki. She loves it! Then I ordered two more small ones — one for my grand-dog, Mr. Pickles (a Yorkie so the small size works for him) and another for the lovely feral-cat-feeding lady in my neighborhood. The quality of the bowls is amazing — nice and heavy.
Since first seeing the beast bowls, I've anxiously awaited their availability. They reminded me of the big bowl that my mother talked a Chinese restaurant into letting her buy many years ago, and they are great companions for that bowl that I now have. They are nice and heavy, good useful sizes, and fun to "read." They arrived promptly and extremely well packed for their trip through the mail.
