Description
Nothing adds thrills to dinner like finding a streaking Sasquatch underneath your macaroni and cheese. This traditional blue-willow-inspired design can be found on the 10th porcelain plate in the Calamityware collection.

Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as his 19th Kickstarter project in 2016.
Dimensions & More Info
  • 10.5” diameter (26.5 cm)
  • Rich blue images on white porcelain.
  • Produced using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums.
  • Remember, all Calamityware plate designs are different—different borders, different images, and sometimes slightly different blues because the plates were fired at different times. They will look good together on your table or wall, but they won't be identical.
  • Made at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland.
Care
  • Food safe.
  • Microwave safe.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Porcelain is both delicate and durable. We think you’ll enjoy Don’s blog about caring for your new treasures.

These porcelain pieces were fired at the Kristoff workshop in Valbrich, Poland, one of the oldest and grandest porcelain workshops in the world. Kristoff began making porcelain in 1831 and its work can be found in museums and in the palaces of royalty. Our porcelain designs are in-glaze, which means slightly melted into the surface of the piece, to ensure a beautiful crisp image for years to come. Photo by Porcelana Krzysztof Sp. z o.o.

Neighborhood is safe now

Sasquatch reminds me what the neighbors might see if I went out jogging instead of eating my morning pancakes off this big beautiful plate. I along with the entire subdivision thank you Don.

Perfect

This was a gift for my hubby and he is thrilled. In 1972 he was on an official quest for Sasquatch - actually structured for credit at CSU in the wildlife biology dept. He always has a soft spot in his heart for Sasquatch and Yeti...so this plate doesn't quite meet the criterion of a "calamity," but we love love love it!

One for me another for you

I bought 3 different plates as personal gifts. Each plate I picked reflects back to something each person has an obsession with . Sasquatch, my daughter is obsessed with finding. My husband wishes he was a pirate. And I being the wicked witch will share my food with my flying monkeys. I must admit I have fallen madly in love and hope to acquire a large collection to pass on to generations to come .

These were a huge hit!!!

I have been eyeing these plates for some time and decided to surprise my adult children with a set. The quality was excellent, they exceeded my expectations and my kids loved them and have gone on to order more. These make me so happy!!!! Thanks

The entire set is just AWESOME!

What an incredible set of fun! I ordered a hand picked selection of calamities, beasts and bugs for 12 as well as a cookie jar for my furry beastie puppers. I just love all the clever designs. I can’t wait to see my guests reaction at our first big dinner party this weekend.
I plan on serving flies in my soup and ants with the salad and who knows what else!
Thanks a bunch. I LOVE it all.

Chuffingly good plates

I bought a mix of plates (various images). They arrived undamaged (yay) due to excellent packaging and just in time for Yuletide! They look visually brilliant and added the necessary flair to our 25 Dec pagan feast! Would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you again.
