Traditional-looking blue-willow dinner plate infested with a plague of frogs. Imagine these bad boys behind your French toast! The closer you look, the more frogs you’ll see.
Rich blue image on 10.5” (26.5 cm) diameter white porcelain dinner plates. Food safe. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Produced at the award-winning Kristoff porcelain workshop in Poland using the in-glaze decoration process. That means the image is slightly melted into the surface like the fine porcelain you see in museums. This is the 9th plate in the Calamityware collection. Designed by Don Moyer and initially launched as a Kickstarter project in 2016.
Porcelain is both delicate and durable. We think you’ll enjoy Don’s blog about caring for your new treasures.
Perfect for my grandchildren's Passover Seder plates!
I have both the frog plate and the Things Could Be Worse mugs. I absolutely love them; they make me smile every time I use them.
The plate is beautiful and the amphibian array is my favorite.
Both the plate and mugs are very well made. I thought that the mug would be delicate, but it’s definitely up to day to day use, as is the plate.
I love, love, love, Calamityware. I give them 10 stars out of 10 stars.
Or 100 out of 100.
We are great fans of CalamityWare, and have now replaced all our good dishes with CalamityWare. Dinner guests enjoy the plates, looking for creatures in the borders and discussing the various calamities depicted. The frog plate is special to me because my son is nuts about Kermit and his mother loved all sorts of frogs (although she might have said one could never have too many frogs!)
The plates are high quality & the designs are detailed and permanent. best of all, they fit perfectly in my dishwasher!
WELCOME FROGS TO THE 5000 TH YEAR OF THE FROG CONVENTION!!! We have chosen sunny Calamity as our destination this year... There are lagoons and jungle for your rest and relaxation needs. Registration is $42.50, and that includes all you can eat locusts
I had ordered the set of 4.
I had unboxed them and had them setting on my counter. My neighbor came by that evening and she noticed them. She droned on about how she "Loves blue and white, and that her grandmother gave her a set, and that she things that it was just like this."
I went on to tell her that I am sure that her grandmother did not have this set. She said she was sure, so I challenged her to take a closer look. She pulled out her glasses and leaned in.
5 mins later she stopped laughing, having seen all 4 of the plates. She loved them and was sure that her grandmother would have also thought they were amazing.
Seriously, the plates are of great quality, the art looks amazing, and they are a conversation starter. I am about to order the next set.
Like something out of a B-Movie nightmare, this plate is full of awesome, giant frogs! It makes me smile every time I eat off of it.
Love this one! Now to fry me up a big batch of cuisses e grenouilles...
